I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
