Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a large cast of characters living within the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
